The Lamaze Difference

Lamaze educators are working to make a difference for moms and babies.

Pregnant women often feel so much pressure about their performance in labor. But here’s the reality - nobody is going to grade you on how you give birth to your baby. What matters is that your baby AND YOU (yes, your health and well-being matter more to your baby than you think!) have the safest and healthiest birth possible. Pregnancy and labor are often unpredictable, but there’s so much you can do to partner with your care provider to make choices that are based on what’s best for your unique needs.

You can count on Lamaze childbirth education classes to help you feel confident about the information you use to help navigate your options. Lamaze classes are led by a Lamaze Certified Childbirth Educator (LCCE) and the curriculum is based on Lamaze’s six healthy birth practices. They’re not complicated and they’re backed by extensive research that supports a woman’s natural ability to give birth safely.

You may think that in today’s digital age, childbirth education classes are not necessary. But a good childbirth education class helps you sort through conflicting or inaccurate information, and choose a care provider and birthplace that’s right for you. Your education can make all the difference. In a recent study of induced pregnancy, researchers found that women who learned about the risks of an induction were less likely to have one.

We educate parents about the best birth practices based on the most current medical evidence available. We believe knowledge is power and our childbirth education classes can help you recognize, and get, the care that’s the best fit for you and your baby.

So get registered for a class and get ready to push!
